Local Honokaʻa musician and recording artist Jon “Omi” De Jesus takes the stage for a special evening honoring beloved composer and kumu hula Aunty Alice Nāmakelua, born in Honokaʻa on August 12, 1892. Omi, who has traveled extensively performing traditional and Hawaiian music, will present a full set of Aunty Alice’s songs in this heartfelt birthday tribute celebrating her enduring legacy in Hawaiian music and culture.
