About the event

Colloquium by Professor Wei ZHANG (Renmin University of China)
The interplay between dissipation and interaction in quantum many-body system gives rise to rich nonequilibrium phenomena, and leads to potential applications in quantum technology. Yet, rigorous theoretical understanding is very rare and remains challenging. In this talk, I will present some exact results on dissipative interaction many-body systems, focusing on the dynamical and energetic response to external probes. Specifically, I will introduce three f-sum rules for dissipative systems, and derives the response order of high-order exceptional point in a many-qubit system with interaction. The results provide a mathematical foundation for the study of dissipative quantum matter and opens new avenues for the application of high-order exceptional point in quantum sensing.
