1939, Chaplin est une icône riche, adulée, libre. Il se lance dans l’écriture du Dictateur. Cette création bouillonnante va plonger Chaplin dans une tempête intime inattendue. Chaplin pense s’attaquer à Hitler mais très vite il se retrouve seul, face à lui-même. Une plongée souriante et profonde dans l’intimité d’un génie.
