Step inside Pittsburgh’s underground art scene.
Join Rivers of Steel and the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination Friday, October 24, 4–7pm, on the third floor of the Bost Building, for a pop up book event, panel discussion, and artwork display featuring Pittsburgh’s Avant-Garde: 60 Years Inside the Underground Art Scene.
This is your chance to celebrate a city’s bold, boundary-pushing creative history. Rivers of Steel is featured in the book (on page 412!), and our own Ed Parrish is highlighted as one of the artists shaping this legacy. Art installations, including Art of Labor, will be on display throughout the evening.
Mingle with fellow art lovers, enjoy remarks and panel discussions, and immerse yourself in a cultural moment that spans six decades of Pittsburgh creativity.
