Main Street Community Lecture Series, Rudy Umans guest speaker

Rudy Umans is our guest speaker this month, Friday, August 29 at the Town Hall Museum, 41 N. Krome Avenue, Homestead, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m., reception and presentation. We look forward to seeing you for this very special event and introducing this gifted photographer at our Main Street community lecture series. This is free to the public.

Rudy shares his skill and unique approach: "I love working with one of my vintage cameras. My cameras range in age from 85 to 45 years old and in film formats from 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch to 8 x 10 inch. I also love working with alternative processes such as pinhole photography. Somebody said once about one of my pinhole Everglades images that the image Really conveys that Everglades look!. That was one of the nicest comments I have ever received. Is that not what photographers are going for? That moment that the subject, the viewer, and the photographer all become one?"
