Back Yard Bird Count with CC Audubon + CCFPD

Valentine's Day Bird Count!

We're invited to join Champaign County Audubon Society and the Champaign County Forest Preserve District for the annual Backyard Bird Count, at Homer Lake. Details to be announced, but I *think* we'll meet up at the interpretive center's parking lot, next to the main entrance - which is on the east side of the park, 2573 S. Homer Lake Rd.

On this same weekend, birdwatchers across the country - you don't have to be experienced! - will be observing and counting the birds we can see and hear. (If you have a smartphone, and don't know all about birds, the Merlin app from Cornell Lab of Ornithology is extremely helpful for identifying birds and bird calls.)
