Join us for a Guided Walk – Section 1 of Llwybr Arfordirol Ynys Môn (Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path)
St Cybi's Church, Holyhead to The Range Nature Reserve | Approx. 8 miles / 13 km | Difficulty: Moderate - 400m elevation gain | 4-5 hours

Join us for a relaxed and friendly guided walk along the first section of the stunning Llwybr Arfordirol Ynys Môn - Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. Starting at The Range Nature Reserve Car Park, we'll car share to the official start point at S Cybi's Church in Holyhead. Then wind our way along the official coastal path for 8 miles back to the cars at South Stack. Those who fancy a swim, if there is time and the conditions are ok, can join me for a dip at Porth Dafarch (so bring your swimmers). The walk has a flat start then a steep ascent mid-walk. The second half of the walk is downhill. It is along a cliff edge but is well pathed. Expect some steep drops and rocky outcrops.
Bring comfy walking shoes/boots, a waterproof jacket and trousers, a spare warm layer, hat gloves and scarf. You'll also need lunch, snacks and a drink. If sunny, bring sunglasses. As this walk is coastal, you may want suncream and lip balm to be comfortable. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
Weather policy: we will walk if there is rain forecast. In the event of snow or a serious storm we will cancel the evening before via email and text. We will also update the whatsapp group.
Thanks to specialist funding, is walk is free for unpaid carers (people who self-define as undertaking care of a loved one with an illness or disability, no proof required),and a £5 suggested donation for non-carers who are very welcome. Please do book your space in order to attend as numbers are limited.
We provide walking poles free of charge for anyone who would like to try them.
