The story of Romeo and Juliet is timeless. It's an epic love story between two people who cannot be together, and yet they've each other so deeply, that love can overcome nearly any boundary...

For more than a decade director, Juice Jackson, had this idea- "what if Romeo and Juliet was a queer love story? What if instead of just their families hating each other, there was something else about their love that made them have to hide it for fear of retribution?"

We invite you now to put yourself in the mindset of the year 1969. Tension between the LGBTQ community and those who oppress them is at an all-time high and we find ourselves in a little bar in Greenwich Village called Stonewall Inn. Imagine if you will that the events unfolding in front of your eyes are happening under that context.
