Heirlooms & Echoes: A Memoir Workshop

Join us for a one-of-a-kind memoir writing workshop where storytelling meets the past. In this special collaboration between Balcony Row Books, and Michigan award-winning author Patti Eddington, and Blue Willow Exchange! Participants will embark on a guided journey of memory and meaning.

We’ll begin at BRB, where Patti will lead a short, powerful session on how to unlock personal stories through objects. Then, we’ll take a short walk to Blue Willow Exchange where each participant will purchase a meaningful object that resonates with them—something that sparks nostalgia, curiosity, or reflection. Sips and apps will be provided as well!

Returning to BRB, you’ll write a short personal piece inspired by your chosen item with guidance and encouragement from the author. We’ll end the day with an optional read-aloud circle.
