It's fall, which means Arden contra is back in session! So come on out to our first dance of the season with Greg Frock and High Strung, followed by a potluck at 5:30 and jamming!
Greg Frock has called all over the country for new and experienced folks alike, and he's excited to help us kick the dust off our dance shoes!
High Strung is a new group formed in the Mt Airy contra scene, but they're already getting picked up from Brooklyn to Glen Echo. Their foot-stomping reels, pulsing marches and soaring jigs will keep us moving all afternoon long.

You don't need a partner, but definitely bring a water bottle and maybe a friend and some snacks to share.

PRICE: Sliding scale $12-20 general. $10 for Arden Club members, students, and folks on limited income. Free for children under 13. Pay what you can, no one turned away for lack of funds.
We don't have a credit card reader, but cash, Venmo, Zelle and checks are all good.

POTLUCK AND JAM: bring a dish to share! We'll keep cold dishes in the corner fridge in the hall, and intrepid and sagacious Arden hall manager Chris Day can reheat hot dishes ahead of time. Please label if you'd like a reheat.
The kitchen is full service has plenty of spare utensils. If you do bring a utensil, please label it so it doesn't get lost in the dishes.
In June, we had a super fun jam on the patio, let's do it again! Bring your instruments and a tune or song to share, if you like. Please bring your instrument even if you're not sure you want to, have only played in your room and not with people yet, are 'just learning', etc...
