THE JINX RUN

The Jinx Run was established in memory of Trent “Jinx” Payne, a Brothers United member who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in 2021. Jinx’s charitable spirit and love for riding inspire us each year to support a member of our community in need. In 2025, we’ve chosen Mouse—a lifelong West Michigander, husband to Nikki for 15 years, father of two, grandfather of six, and a 13-year motorcycle enthusiast—as our recipient. Mouse has been part of Brothers United for five years, and his most cherished rides are those spontaneous escapes with Nikki, where they take off without a word to anyone.

Since his diagnosis in August 2024, Mouse’s life has been upended. His cancer has metastasized to his liver, spine, legs, hips, lungs, and bone marrow, and it has also made him diabetic. After four grueling rounds of chemotherapy, he transitioned to radiation treatment at BAMF in Grand Rapids, including a unique liquid treatment brought to Michigan by a member of the Meijer family. Despite the toll of his illness, Mouse remains determined, saying, “If I can get up in the Spring and ride my bike, I’ll be happy.” Your support can help make that hope a reality.

There will be a silent auction at the end of the run, 50/50 throughout the day.
