Join us in Cold Water Immersion, presented by Mercy Health, for a full mind, body and wellness experience. Experience the invigorating benefits of nature and cold water immersion, designed to enhance physical recovery, boost mental resilience, and promote overall well-being. Alissa Caple, certified cold water therapy coach, will guide participants through the art of cold exposure, incorporating scientific principles, practical techniques, and self-awareness.
This free program is part of a collaborative campaign between Metroparks Toledo and Mercy Health that promotes the power of parks in improving the community’s mental and physical well-being.

Location: Wiregrass Lake, parking lot.
This program runs rain, snow, or shine.
This program will be physically taxing and is only recommended for healthy individuals. Those with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, poor circulation, venous stasis, or cold agglutinin disease should not attend. Please consult with a medical professional if you have questions.
Participants will be given a personal floatation device (required), and neoprene socks and gloves to protect extremities. There will be a beautiful new warming hut with wood-fired stove, changing tents, and hot tea to assist with the rewarming process.
Please bring the following:
· A towel and warm blanket
· Wear athletic shorts and t-shirt under warm layers for the immersion
· Very warm change of clothes for after immersion
· Calorie dense snacks
