HSGL Fechtschule: Hoensbroek Castle Edition [REGISTRATIONS CLOSED]

On Sunday, August 31st, 2025, Historisch Schermgilde Limburg will host a special edition of our monthly Fechtschule, this time by invitation of Hoensbroek Castle!

We’ll be guests at one of the largest castles in the Netherlands, where we’re allowed to train and spar freely in one of their indoor halls, in the courtyard, and in the meadow behind the castle.

📍 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Kasteel Hoensbroek, Klinkertstraat 118, 6433 PB Hoensbroek, The Netherlands
⌚ 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: From 10am to 5:30pm (we must leave the grounds by 6:00pm)

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝙁𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙩𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙡𝙚?
The Fechtschule is a monthly open sparring and training event hosted by HSGL, where fencers from any club and of any level are welcome to spar, practice, exchange ideas, and socialise in an informal and inclusive environment.

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 – 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻?
Because we are attending at the invitation of Kasteel Hoensbroek, our presence also acts as a demonstration and entertainment for the castle’s regular visitors.
We ask that participants remain open to questions from the public, occasionally give short demonstrations, and be willing to “play” a little with guests.
