Learn the basics of drawing with foundational techniques of taking what you see and representing it on the page using graphite. Learn to set up a composition, discern what type of graphite pencil hardness to use and represent light and shadow to make your drawings come to life with dimension and visual interest. No experience necessary and all materials provided.
This program takes place in-person at Mt. Cuba Center Three Saturdays: 10/11 through 10/25.
About the Instructor:
Katie LeCocq has been on her creative journey for as long as she can remember, and is most delighted when she can share that journey with others. She has been known to exhibit her art regionally and enjoys teaching her craft with others of all ages. LeCocq received formal training at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she earned her BFA. She now resides in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband and mischievous dog.
