We will be at Hobbs City Park at the basketball court, we ask that if you are entering Weaponmaster or Dragonmaster to please try to be there by 11am, we will post when official sign ins for each start, but 11am allows us more time to set up and prepare for these two tournaments. (If Time, and structure changes we will announce and update here)
Weaponmaster will follow the Burning Lands Corpora and be a bearpit style tournament that will determine the bracket seating for each category. More information on those categories will be forthcoming. For further information reach out to Sir Reid (@Dale Churchill)
Dragon Master: The Ultimate Cultural Competition
Unleash Your Creativity and Claim the Title!
Do you have what it takes to be crowned Dragon Master? This legendary competition welcomes all challengers—bring your best and show off your unique talents. Multiple entries are encouraged, but remember, a single creation can only compete in one category. If your masterpiece has already won a prize in a previous contest, it can't claim another prize of the same order here.
Discover the Categories
· Accessories: Dazzle with jewelry, courtly essentials, or battlefield adornments.
· Garb: Present fighting attire, courtly robes, or casual medieval/fantasy-inspired clothes.
· Sewing: Amaze with banners, quilts, or crafted accessories like sashes and favors.
· Blacksmithing: Forge weapons, armor, metal art, or even horseshoes!
· Whitesmithing: Shape intricate spurs, jewelry, and tin art with finesse.
· Foamsmithing: Construct weapons and shields with creativity and skill.
· Leatherworking: Craft armor, clothing, belts, scabbards, harnesses, and more.
· Woodworking: Carve shields, accessories, furniture, siege engines, or wood art.
· Bardic: Entertain through singing, music, dance, spoken word, or original compositions.
· Written Word: Share fiction, factual writing, poetry, publications, or treatises.
· Cooking: Tempt the judges with hors d’oeuvres, soups, main courses, desserts, and more.
· Beverage Crafting: Brew non-alcoholic delights, wines, meads, or ales.
· Photography: Capture single subjects or scenes in color, black and white, nature, or abstract styles.
· Art (Not Photography): Submit your 2-D or 3-D visual creations.
· Construction: Display your prowess with passive or active builds.
· Game Design: Invent a new battle game or a strategic board/card game.
· Rose: Donate a non-perishable, hand-crafted item for the park or kingdom’s use—these gifts become cherished treasures, managed by park or kingdom officers.
Other categories may emerge with the Regent’s blessing, so dream big!
The Judging Process
· Your top six scores from six different categories will be averaged for your final score.
· Every entry is evaluated by at least three judges, scoring from 1 to 5 in fine 0.10-point steps.
· To qualify for “Dragon Master,” you must compete in at least six categories with six entries. If the Regent allows, one item may count for two categories, provided it demonstrates two distinct skills—just be sure to explain the expertise behind your creation.
· Entrants may submit a detailed write-up or make an in-person presentation for each entry. For items in two categories, include a written explanation or verbal clarification for each.
Important Notes
· The contest date will be September 6 at the park of Dark Oasis with more information to follow. Watch especially for the PREREGISTRATION FORM that will be out soon.
· Dragon Master will be held the same day as Weapon Master but all concerned will make every effort for the two events to not clash.
· The competitor with the highest average across their six best categories will bear the coveted title of “Dragon Master” until the next grand contest.

· In the middle of your creations, don’t forget our Reign Themes. Dame Jael will be especially looking for entry’s that fit into the themes for special mention awards.
