About the Nike Missile Base:
Nike Missile Site C-47 is one of 20 missile bases utilized as a “last ditch” line of air defense for Chicago during the Cold War. These sites were constructed in defensive rings surrounding major urban and industrial areas.
During the late 1950s and early 1960s, the Army built more than 250 Nike Missile Batteries across the United States. Construction of site C-47 began in 1954 and was completed in 1956.
Paranormal Activity:
Over the years, staff have reported unexplained phenomena within the base's old structures. From footsteps echoing through empty corridors to sudden temperature drops and disembodied voices. During our visit to scout this location we did a sweep and had a few interesting experiences and picked up on much of the history and a few deaths that occurred on the property.
What to Expect:
Guided Exploration: Navigate the old restricted areas with an experienced guide. There are MULTIPLE buildings at this location.

Preparation:
Attire: Wear comfortable layered clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for uneven terrain. A flashlight is a MUST. This location has buildings that are open to the elements and there is no electricity.
Equipment: Feel free to bring personal investigation tools such as cameras, voice recorders, and EMF detectors. Just bring something to set your devices on in case the ground is damp. Bring a chair if you don't want to get your clothes dirty.
Waiver: All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.
