These 2 days event is not like any other event because it will combine hiking to discover the beauty of Qammouaa with its forests and beautiful landscapes and cultural tours in Menjez where we will discover the hidden gems of this beautiful village, without forgetting spending a memorable night in Jabalna ecolodge in Qobayat.
Menjez derived from the Syriac (Magnez), meaning a hidden treasure is a small village located in the far north of Lebanon, on the Lebanese-Syrian border. Situated 127 kms from Beirut at an altitude of 350 m. Menjez offers a unique blend of history and nature.
Jabalna ecolodge located at the forest of alMurgan Kobayat north Lebanon. JABALNA ecolodge is an eco-friendly hostel, separate bungalows ,located in the mountains of Kobayat, 10 minutes away from square, in the middle of the natural pine forest. A quiet and peaceful location ideal for nature lovers and escapees from city noise and pollution. Good lodging opportunity for weekend hikers.
In these 2 days , we will discover the hidden gems of Menjez and hiking in the beautiful landscapes of Fneydek - Qammouaa.
Our trip starts on Saturday, November 29 ,and Ends on Sunday November 30.
Program: 1 night / 2 days (November 29 and 30 2025)
November 29 2025:
1- Departure from DHL - Jal Dib at 10:00 am
2- Picking up hikers on the way
3- Small stop on the way
4- Let us step back in time: Discovering Menjez: Megalithic tombs (3000 BC), Nemesis Roman temple, Monastery of our Lady of Citadel, St Daniel church.
5- Arrive to Jabalna - Qoubbaiyat : 5:00 pm ( Check in )
6- Dinner at Monteverde restaurant (Tabboule, Fattouch, mtabbal batenjen, warak 3enab, fried potato, batata harra with kezbara, kebbeh nayeh, cheese rolls, kabab, makanek, chicken wings, Mashewe, beer, arak, fruits, nuts, sweets.
7- Overnight at Jabalana ecolodge (Qobayet)
November 30 2025:
1- Breakfast : 8:00 am ( Lebanese breakfast - Local Labneh - hot drinks, eggs...
2- Packing and departure at 9:30 am (check out)
3- Hiking from the highlands of Fneydek to the Ozer golden forest of Qammouaa.
Description of the trail:
- Level of difficulty: moderate
- Distance of the trail: 12 kms
- Max and min elevation: starting from 1850 m to 1450 m
- Expected sceneries: cicilian firs, junipers, cedars, ozer forest, beautiful landscapes, several springs on the way
4- Departure from Akkar at 3:30 pm
5- Arrival to Jal dib at 6:30 pm

1- @ 10:00 am: jal dib near DHL and Banque Libano Francaise facing the Canadian embassy (we can pick our hikers that live on our way)
Departure: 10:00 am from Jal dib (plz be on time)

Fees include (85 USD):
• Transportation by Pullman 2 days.
• one day cultural tours and one day hiking
• Local Guide for two Days .
• Accommodation at Jabalna Ecolodge .
• Bed in shared guest houses ( Shared Chalets ).
• Breakfast ( Sunday morning).
• Dinner at Monteverde restaurant - Qobayat (Saturday evening)
• Hot Drinks for two days ( Tea - Coffee - Nescafe).
Fees excludes:
• Lunch .
• Insurance.
Required materials: hiking boots, backpack, hat, 3L of water, raincoat, sunglasses, sunscreen, healthy snacks, hiking stick, jacket, extra clothes, headlight.
