At-Home Printmaking Adventure:
Class Title: The Magical World of Printing!
Ages: 5-12 (activities are easily adaptable for skill level) also a wonderful opportunity for Pre school and primary school teachers.
Class Size: 1-4 kids (perfect for siblings or a small pod)
Duration: 60-90 minutes (depending on engagement and clean-up)
Educational Goals:
* Understand the basic concept of printmaking: creating a matrix (the stamp) to transfer an image multiple times.
* Develop fine motor skills, pattern recognition, and planning (thinking in reverse!).
* Encourage creativity and experimentation.
* Experience the joy of creating multiple artworks from a single creation
There will be three stations for kids to engage with:
Station 1: Foam Relief Printing (The Draw & Press Method)
Station 2: Found Object Printing (The Build & Stamp Method)
Station 3: Collagraph Printing (The Glue & Texture Method)
Ella is a third year fine art student, from Tuks who has a passion for printmaking and teaching.
