Join us for the opening of “Absurdly Human,” a solo exhibition by local Detroit artist Mike Kelly, at Paris Bar Detroit.
About the Artist:
Mike Kelly is a self-taught artist who has spent the past twenty years creating, curating, and collecting art—including his work with The Funhouse Gallery in the early 2010s. His current pieces explore the absurdity of being human, blending the dark imagery that haunts his mind with bright colors and humor. It’s his way of tempering inner demons… not that it’s working, so he’ll just keep making art.
Expect bold colors, raw emotion, a little darkness, a little humor, and a whole lot of Detroit spirit.
