Take on an unforgettable 11.7-mile hike that combines the breath-taking summit of Brent Knoll with the peaceful coastal beauty of Berrow Sands. This circular route takes you through scenic farmland, nature reserves, and along the beach — all while raising vital funds to care for injured and orphaned wildlife at Secret World.
Whether you’re an experienced hiker or a determined beginner, this challenge is your chance to make a real difference for animals in need.
The Route — What to Expect:
Estimated time: 5 to 6 hours, depending on pace. (EXACT ROUTE TBC)
Start and finish in charming Brent Knoll Village.
Climb the iconic Brent Knoll, Somerset’s highest hill, with panoramic views.
Walk through tranquil farmland and the Berrow Nature Reserve.
Finish with a refreshing stroll along Berrow Sands beach.
How to Join the Challenge:
Book a place to register – £10 to join the Challenge
Set your fundraising goal — a minimum of £50.
Prepare using our fundraising pack, complete with sponsorship forms, tips, and route maps (sent by email after registration)
Take part on event day — Saturday 30th August: enjoy the challenge and the wildlife!
Submit your sponsorship money after the event to help us continue rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife.

Ask your friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor your hike! You can collect donations in any way that suits you — online, in person, or by mail. Set up your own online fundraising page on JustGiving to make it easy for people to donate and follow your progress.
