Exhibition Opening Receptions: Huiyin Zhou, Elisabeth Effron, and Bryce Lankard

Huiyin Zhou: Sojourning in Lyric Time
Elisabeth Effron: Formed by Light, Shaped by Time
Bryce Lankard: Blink of an Eye

In an age saturated with digital imagery, this trio of exhibitions highlight material experimentation. Three photographers, each at a different point in their career, reclaim photography as a tactile, physical process. From Huiyin Zhou’s intimate, anthropological and collaborative photo collage installations, to Elisabeth Effron’s dreamlike photographs layered with encaustic painting and sculptural elements, and Bryce Lankard’s nostalgic, toy-camera-captured archival ink prints from film negatives, each artist underscores photography’s enduring physicality and the necessity of seeing work beyond a screen.
