Event Description: The American Revolution Experience
Dates: December 14 – 19
Location: Hessel School House
3206 W Cedar, Hessel, MI 49745
Step back in time and discover how the events of the American Revolutionary War shaped the lives of ordinary people across the Thirteen Colonies. The American Revolution Experience—presented in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)—invites visitors to explore the personal stories, choices, and challenges faced by those who lived through one of the most pivotal moments in history.
As tensions mounted and the call for independence grew louder, farmers, merchants, families, and tradespeople alike were forced to choose: remain loyal to the British Crown or embrace the uncertain promise of a new nation. Through interactive displays, compelling narratives, and immersive exhibits, guests will gain a deeper understanding of the courage, sacrifice, and conviction that defined the Revolutionary Generation.
Join us for this unique opportunity to reflect on what it meant to choose sides—and consider what you would have done if faced with the same decision.
Admission: FREE and open to the public
