HEIMAT @heimatmusic
(France)
Behind Heimat lie two figures that are well-known in French underground: Olivier Demeaux, keyboardist for Cheveu and a member of the drone-ambient project Accident du Travail, and Armelle Oberle, whose unique voice has already been heard on The Dreams and Badaboum. Heimat has surprised their audience with the originality of their compositions, inspired by new wave and trap music as well as ethnographic recordings from South east Asia. In their latest release, Armelle’s vocal performance remains central. Demeaux’s beat-making and production in Iti Eta No foregrounds rhythmic complexity, with elements reminiscent of the experimental side of baile funk and African drill, albeit accompanying European melodies and musique concrète.

HOWLING MYSTICS @howlingmystics
(Berlin)
Howling Mystics is a ritual noise duo from Berlin, formed by Margaret Unknown and Oleksandra Kopelyan. Their performances collapse the boundaries between song, seance, and radical exploration—merging extended voice, feedback systems, and sustained harmonic resonance into hypnotic aural rites.
Shaped by their diverse heritage—Vienna’s improvised music underground, Slavic choral traditions, longform ritual, post-folk fracture—their distinct voices meet and resonate in an evolving field of experience, where music arose from shared vulnerability, attunement, and necessity: in open ensembles without hierarchy, in choirs where breath governed phrase, in performances where the voice had to carry something unspeakable. There was no style to declare, only presence to hold.

NOJ @noj_band
(Berlin)
NOJ are Julius Berger, Oskar Militzer, Christian Ramisch and Việt Phương Vũ. Their debut release Waxing Moon takes the listener on a tense trip, pulsating through 9 chunky tweaked out tracks of industrial post punk, whose combo of punishing percussion, antagonistic basslines, broken glass guitar, and cool, bloodless vocals conjure visions of a cyberpunk version of The Birthday Party.
