Our monthly makers market, Makers at the Museum, returns Sept. 21 to the Hershey History Center, 40 Northeast Drive, Hershey. Admission and parking are free.
In addition to our usual lineup of talented artisans, this month we'll celebrate the return of hockey season.
We will be joined by Hershey Bears legends Al Hill, Dave Parro, Dave Fenyves, Freddy Cassivi, Marc D’Amour and Garrett Mitchell, who will sign autographs. (Please note that some players may not be available for the whole event.)
The Hershey Cubs junior hockey team will bring its mascot, Cubby, and the organizers of the Hershey Game-Worn Jersey Expo (Nov. 15 at the Holiday Inn in Grantville) will display some of their treasured collection of Hershey Bears jerseys. The history center's museum, which includes a Bears exhibit, will be open.
We'll have a free "paint-a-pot, pot a plant" activity for kids from our pal DePlantis, a Harrisburg plant grower.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase from Pizzasmith artisan pizza. Stay's store in the history center's Milk House will be open.
