Theatrecraft is excited to announce auditions for our January pantomime: Dick Whittington - a heartwarming adventure full of mischief, music, and magic!

About the show:
Poor but determined, Dick Whittington arrives in London with nothing but hope in his heart and a dream of streets paved with gold. With the help of a clever cat, a few loyal friends, and a little magic, Dick sets out to defeat the evil King Rat, win the heart of Alice Fitzwarren, and prove that belief, bravery, and a good pair of boots can change your life.
This much-loved pantomime is packed with laughter, live music, larger-than-life characters, and plenty of audience participation - a joyful, feel-good adventure for all ages.
Cast of characters:
King Rat – wants to rule London Town at any cost!
Alderman Fitzwarren – Alice's father. Authoritarian but with a soft side.
Sarah the Cook (dame) – cook for Fitzwarren's store. Brash and over the top.
Dick Whittington – principal boy and hero of our story. Genuine and true.
Tom Cat – a magical cat who saves the day in more ways than one.
Alice Fitzwarren – principal girl, daughter of the alderman. Very sweet and kind.
Captain Cornelius Crabb – haphazard sailor who thinks he is good at this job.
First Mate Perry Winkle – an even more haphazard sailor.
Vermina – a sassy little rat who likes to do naughty things.
Fatima (minor role) – handmaid to the Sultana.
Sultana Bunn (minor role) – ruler of the mystery island overrun with rats.
Ensemble of villagers, courtiers, rats etc.
