Watercolor Painting Group

Join us as we explore the magic of watercolor. Our group averages 10 artists of varying skill levels. Each week we choose a different subject to paint. Our friendly artists help newcomers become comfortable with techniques.
Recommend supplies:
Good watercolor paper, i.e. Fabriano, quarter sheets or a block
Professional level Daniel Smith,Holbein, Winsor Newton. Be sure you have a least the three primaries; yellow, blue and red. All colors. can be mixed from these. Amazon has a beginners set of 12 tubes of Winsor Newton for $48.
Brushes: synthetic brushes work well. You should have a number 14 round,1/2" flat, small detail and 2" brush for mop for wetting paper. King Art has a good beginners set on Amazon.
If you're curious about watercolor, this is the group for you. Annual membership at the Art Center of Citrus County is only 445/year and gives you access to all the artist groups and camera club.
