About the Songwriters:
Rick Bethel: Originally from Lindenhurst Long Island, NY (Birthplace of Pat Benatar), the Fort Mill songwriter’s creative approach to songwriting, while at times about serious subjects, is often sprinkled with clever humor that captivates and entertains. With topics that range from Monkey's "Monkey See Monkey Do" to UFO's "I wanna Believe", his style of Americana and Folk music is rooted in the raw energy of Rock and soulful rhythm of Blues. A familiar face in the local music circuits, he has graced many stages, leaving a lasting impression with his live performances. He has been featured on The Tiny Stage You Tube channel. Simply Google his name to hear the rhythms and rhymes and unveil the world he creates through his music. It's a world where every song is a journey, every lyric a memory and every performance an experience not to be missed.
Barb Machina: Barb mixes Folksy acoustic rhythm guitar, with timeless story-telling lyrics, and soulful vocals, to create a musical experience that feels like a memory. Influenced by everyone from Tracy Chapman and Sara Bareilles, to Elton John and Sam Cooke, Barb's music intends to add to an ambiance of familiarity and comfort, while being able to stand alone and take you on a journey; one that's both hers and yours.
PJ Brunson: Rock Hill singer-songwriter with folk roots and an easy listening vibe. Her songs often center around the themes of life, love, and family. She performs full-time around the Carolinas and beyond. She also performs as half of the piano-violin duo “Ananda” with Laurie Neal.
