Hand Stitchery Class - Wasatch County

Join us as we explore the art of decorative stitching. Each month we will learn a different embroidery tradition and technique. Kits will be provided for each month’s project. Classes will be held the third Thursday of each month. Cost: $60.00

Thursday, October 16: Crewel Embroidery – Explore this centuries-old technique using wool threads to create bold, textured designs with a variety of traditional stitches.

Thursday, November 20: Bead Embroidery – Learn how to embellish fabric with beads, adding sparkle, dimension, and rich surface design to your stitching.

Thursday, December 18: Swedish Weaving – Discover the rhythmic patterns of Swedish embroidery, stitched on special huck fabric to create elegant geometric designs.

Thursday, March 19: Sashiko – Experience the Japanese art of functional yet beautiful stitching, using running stitches to form striking, geometric patterns.

Thursday, February 19: Candlewicking – Master this American embroidery style using white thread and colonial knots to create subtle, raised patterns.

Thursday, January 15: Ribbon Embroidery – Work with silk ribbons to form delicate flowers and motifs, perfect for adding a soft, romantic touch to fabric projects.
