Paddle Exploration at Yawkey Forest Reserve

Northwoods Land Trust is delighted to announce it will host a Paddling to Explore the Yawkey Forest Reserve event on Friday, September 26 from 1-3 pm. The event will start at the public boat launch on the west shore of Lake Katherine at the end of Oneida Street.

According to Troy Walters, NWLT Outreach Coordinator, “Paddling Lake Katherine is a great way to see some of the 4+ miles of undeveloped shoreline and surrounding 400+ acres of forests that the Yawkey family preserved through a donation of land to the Northwoods Land Trust in 2018.”

The event is open to everybody and is free to attend. Please register by September 24, space is limited. Participants will be paddling 2-3 miles on Lake Katherine and need to bring their own boat, paddle, PFD, raingear, water, and water shoes.
