Join Friends of the Towans Art Club for a sketchbook stroll around North Quay 5-7.30pm🤞🏻
On Sunday 7th September 5-7.30pm as part of Hayle Health and Wellbeing Festival and Hayle Arts Week, Art Club will meet at 5pm for a sketchbook stroll with a difference, around Hayle harbour as the sun sets.
We will draw views towards Lelant, the old Dynamite works and where the old ferry boat operated, boats and harbour paraphernalia, finishing in time to watch the Corn Moon rising over the estuary at 7.42 pm.
Please bring a sketchbook, pencil and media of choice and any stories of the history of Hayle Harbour.
We will stop to draw anything of interest - ropes, capstans, boats, water and views across the estuary to Dynamite Quay and the open sea. Tales of the ferry and other stories will be shared.
Please note it will be growing dark by the end so bring a torch and warm layers. Hat, gloves, perhaps a warm drink and a portable seat if you have one.
Meet at 5pm across the road from Riviera Cafe at the beginning of North Quay near the Old Harbour Masters building.
