Discover the real character of the Peak District's highest mountain. On this walk we will leave the well-trodden paths to criss-cross the plateau and explore some of Kinder's unique features, including distinctive rock formations and the complex system of water channels which have been gouged out of the peat over centuries. With wonderful panoramas and photo opportunities, we will also visit the summit point. If this is your first Ethel there are 94 more summits in the Peak District to visit. Ask your ranger for details ! Next we visit the famous Kinder Downfall, which is the highest waterfall in the National Park. There will be a chance to see the extensive restoration work that has been carried out to protect this valuable landscape for generations to come.
