Jacob’s Ladder & Kinder Scout... the Highest Peak in the Peak District
Breathe. Reset. Reconnect 🚶🏼♀️
Join us for a powerful, soul-clearing hike up Jacob’s Ladder and onto Kinder Scout, which is the highest point in England’s Peak District at 636m ⛰️
(Kinder Scout is wild, iconic, and deeply symbolic. A vast moorland plateau of peat paths, gritstone edges, streams, and waterfalls, and the site of the 1932 Mass Trespass, a defining moment that helped secure public access to Britain’s countryside.)
This is a place that shifts perspective.
🗓 Sunday 15th February 2026
📍 Meeting point: Hope / Edale car park (next to the train station)
Water Meadows, Hope Rd, Edale, Hope Valley S33 7ZQ

🌿 Who this is for
This hike is for women who want to:
💆🏼♀️ Clear their head and reset mentally
🥾 Challenge themselves in a supportive, non-judgemental space
🌲 Spend time in nature with meaningful conversation (or quiet reflection)
👯♀️ Meet like-minded women and make genuine connections
You don’t need to be the fittest in the group... just open to being stretched.
We’ll move at a steady, supportive pace, take regular breaks and no one will be left behind.
🐶 Dogs welcome
Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Please ensure they’re fit for a long, challenging walk, kept under control, and comfortable around other dogs and people. You must have your dog on a lead when passing through grazing fields.
🥾 What to expect
- A challenging but incredibly rewarding hike
- Wild Peak District scenery including:
- Kinder Downfall waterfall 💦
- Gritstone formations like Pym’s Chair and Boxing Gloves 🗿
- Open moorland, streams, and expansive views 🌄
- A genuine sense of achievement reaching the plateau 🏆
We’ll finish at a cosy pub to warm up and enjoy a well-earned dinner 🍽️
🎒 What you’ll need (important)
Kinder Scout is remote, boggy in places, and weather can change fast... especially in February.
Please bring:
- Plenty of water 💧
- Walking boots (essential) 🥾
- Walking poles (recommended but optional) 🦯
- Packed lunch & snacks 🥪
- Waterproofs 💦
- Warm layers including gloves and a hat 🧣
- Rucksack 🎒
- A flask and cup ☕️
Good preparation makes this empowering rather than uncomfortable.
⚠️ Safety & weather
Kinder Scout is a National Nature Reserve and can be disorientating in poor visibility 🌫️ If conditions are unsafe (ice, high winds, heavy fog), the hike will be rearranged ❄️
✨ Sometimes the clarity you’re looking for doesn’t come from another plan, podcast, or push...
it comes from movement, nature, powerful places, and great company (four-legged friends included).
