Curious about shibari but not sure where to start? Join us for Shibari Basics (101), an introductory class led by Jake Casey, designed for beginners who want to learn foundational techniques in a comfortable, inclusive environment.
In this class, you’ll:
Learn two foundational shibari ties that form the basis of many rope practices
Explore simple techniques you can build on or use right away
Gain a better understanding of rope handling, structure, and intention
No prior experience is required.
Singles and couples are welcome, and bringing a partner is not necessary. This class focuses on education and fundamentals, making it a great entry point whether you’re brand new or looking to strengthen your basics.
Each ticket includes:
Instruction from an experienced rope practitioner
Two jute rope hanks to take home and continue practicing
This class is designed to be approachable, respectful, and beginner-friendly, with an emphasis on learning and confidence-building.
