Bellicose Distilling and Bar Selecta present a fun, intimate Gin Masterclass & Tasting led by Trish Brew (Bellicose Distilling / ex Gin Palace) and Joey Tai (Bar Selecta). Discover the stories and spirits behind these two unique gins — Bellicose Pink Gin and Bar Selecta - Joey Tai's very own Anther Mooncake Gin — in a guided tasting inspired by this year's Mid-Autumn Moon festivities.

A sensory journey through gin and story — guided by two of Melbourne’s bar personalities, Trish Brew and Joey Tai. Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival with a curated tasting flight that shines a light on the beauty of balance — sweetness, art and craft, moon and glass.

Trish Brew is a hospitality veteran and award-winning bartender known for her work at Melbourne’s iconic Gin Palace and as Fever-Tree’s National Brand Ambassador. Her creation, Bellicose Pink Gin, challenges what “pink gin” can be — crafted with real botanicals and a bold dose of juniper, not sugar.

“Drinks don’t have a gender. Bellicose was born out of frustration with the one-dimensional pink gins I used to judge. I wanted to flip the script — to make something that actually inspires creativity behind the bar.” — Trish Brew

Joey Tai, Bar Director at Bar Selecta, is a celebrated figure in Melbourne’s hospitality scene — known for her inventive cocktails and ability to tell stories through flavour.

Her creation, Anther Mooncake Gin, was inspired by her Hong Kong heritage and her years behind the bar in Australia. Made in collaboration with Anther Distilling Co., the gin captures the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival — a time of reunion, gratitude, and shared light. Her Anther Mooncake Gin is rich, spiced, and delicately floral, finishing with a bright citrus lift.

First released in 2022, each batch is hand-crafted once a year in August, in celebration of the September festival — and every release remains beautifully limited.
