Sassy school of Burlesque, established in 2015 (yes it's our ten year anniversary 🥳) stands as Edinburgh, Lothian's and Borders longest-running burlesque, cabaret, and showgirl dance fitness class. Over the years, it has become a vibrant community of nearly 1,000 dancers UK wide where participants come together to celebrate self-expression, body confidence, and empowerment through dance. Each class offers a unique blend of glamour, fun, and fitness, designed to help individuals of all backgrounds embrace their inner showgirl in a supportive and inclusive environment. With a focus on positivity and self-love, the school has built a reputation for creating a safe space where everyone can shine, regardless of experience or ability.
Classes are open to all aged 16 and over, with no prior dance experience required, and cost just £7 per week. Every session is filled with laughter, encouragement, and the joy of performance, making it more than just a dance class—it’s a confidence-boosting experience.
Following a phenomenal quadruple sell-out run of 100 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025, Sassy School of Burlesque is back and more dazzling than ever. Whether stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or returning to rediscover that sparkle, participants can expect an empowering, uplifting, and unforgettable experience each week.
