👋 Hand-Built Pottery Masterclass

Learn the foundational skills of hand building and pottery, alongside Autumn from Mud Haus.
Autumn will introduce the session by showing you some hand building techniques, then you’ll be invited to get stuck in with a piece of fresh white earthenware clay and bring your ceramic ideas to life. This relaxed, supportive workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous experience. All you need is a willingness to play and explore!
We’ll break for a delicious lunch from Hawarden Estate Farm Shop. This also gives your piece time to dry before we move on to decoration in the afternoon using underglazes, allowing you to add colour and detail.
Once finished, your piece will be taken away to be professionally clear dipped — a food-safe glaze that enhances the colours of your design, and then fired in the kiln. The full process can take up to three weeks, after which your finished piece can be collected from Hawarden Estate, or posted to you if preferred.

All materials, paints and brushes are included, as is a wonderful, simple lunch.
