Known for its flaring bursts of color, fiery musicality, and unapologetic fusion, this class will take you deep into the signature format that blends bold skirt technique with dynamic choreography, fierce presence, and collaborative creativity.
You’ll learn foundational skirt work, sassy spins, dramatic poses, and powerful combos that can be layered into group improvisation or used to amplify your solo voice. Bring a 25-yard skirt (or borrow one!) and get ready to whirl, stomp, and slay with style. Open to all levels—just bring your love of movement and a flair for the dramatic!
For Ariadne, dance is a magical blend of movements that feeds the body, mind and soul. She teaches classical and fusion belly dance technique in Frederick, MD, and is the director of Troupe Anam Cara and Troupe Lotus Sol. Ariadne enjoys cross training in multiple styles and blending elements from dance techniques learned throughout her life and telling stories through her theatrical dance performances
Ariadne has explored many techniques including classical Egyptian, Fusion, Russian Romany and Flamenco Arabe skirt dancing, and the Siren Project, as well as additional sword and fan technique. She has studied with and draws inspiration from Belladonna Boheme, Lisi Brümmer, Naimah Loren, Deborah Colley, Saeeda Kasym, Dalia Carella, Rachel Redfern, and Shahrzad. She is currently certified as a Level 3 Technician in Belladonna's Bohemian Blade technique and is a certified instructor in the Divine Chaos Collective Skirt Technique.
