You only have three minutes to get the heart started again or your pet breathing before permanent brain damage or even death will occur. You simply can't get to your veterinarian that quickly. This course is a certified class and offers a two-year certification for pet professionals, such as groomers, boarding and day care facilities, trainers, pet sitters and anyone to cares for pets. This is a must for pet parents and police officers, fire fighters, ambulance workers and EMTs, animal control officers. There are three types of CPR for dogs and cats and are unlike that we do for humans. Which you do depends on the size and breed of pet. I am a former respiratory therapist and veterinary assistant. I teach with power point, demonstration, and hands-on skills practice to insure you remember and know how to safely and confidently save a pet's life until you can get them to the veterinary hospital. I teach you how to be the "first responder". Plus I teach all types of first aid including how to handlesnake bite, bleeding, shock, bloat, poisons, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and many others.
