Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Day of the Dead, originating with the Aztecs and celebrated widely in Mexico and other Latin American countries, honors deceased loved ones through ofrendas (altars) decorated with photos, candles, marigolds, and favorite foods. Join the Library and 4-H of Barry County to raise awareness, celebrate cultural diversity, and foster community understanding by stopping into the Library and creating a paper marigold flower. While here, you can learn more about decorating ofrendas and the meaning and beauty of this tradition. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. All supplies will be provided.
