Aspiring to become a social dance instructor? Already one, but want to take it to the next level? Want to be a more educated dancer and student?
May I Have This Dance offers some limited training to instructors beyond our walls. Students who love the geeky stuff and want to be better students also can greatly benefit. Take a look behind the curtain and learn much of the material and skills that have made MayI's dance instructors among the best in the industry.
The TERMINOLOGY & CONCEPTS module is open to everyone. It's best designed for experienced social dancers and those that have already been teaching, but even newer dancers can give it a shot as it's a mix of lecture, individual physical experiences, and some non-strenuous partner work.
Types of connection, steps, foot positions, arm positions, posture, poise, pitch, music concepts for dancers, and so much more. Being an effective teacher, or a better learner, starts with expanding your vocabulary and understanding many of the foundation concepts that are part of many dances.

$15 Early-bird by July 24. Otherwise, $20. Limited space as it will be in the small studio/classroom and several MayI instructors will be participating.
