No medals. No pressure. Just skydiving the way it used to be - fun, inclusive, and full of heart.
Remember when the last load of the day was a big-way belly or a group fly, and everyone from belly flyers to freeflyers to wingsuiters were fighting to get on it? When no one cared what discipline you flew, as long as you were in the sky, together? Landing to a cheering crowd, maybe chased by someone with a cold beer in hand? That’s exactly what we’re bringing back.
The WA Mock State Champs is all about breaking the “too cool” cycle and showing that competition can be a blast. With the WAPC State Championships coming up later in September at Skydive Jurien Bay, now’s your chance to get involved early and help build the hype and help us convince the newbies to give it a crack.
For one weekend, we’re rewinding the clock and rebuilding what made WA skydiving special: community.
- Get new jumpers involved
- Experienced skydivers mentoring - no pressure, just good vibes
- Reignite the stoke that keeps people in the sport

2-Way Belly
4-Way Belly
2-Way VFS (Intermediate)
Speed Skydiving (pending interest just because we can)
3 jumps per event, 3 days to complete them. Complete at your teams pace, taking one day or all three... whatever...
Who’s it for?
- A License and above with BREL 4s complete
- Beginner head-up flyers
- Camera newbies and people willing to jump on the camera step, we need camera people for the 2ways for sure :D
- Legends ready to jump with someone new
And if you’re the type who says, “I’m not wasting a jump on a newbie,” pause and remember who jumped with you when you were green. Someone did - that’s why you’re still here.
No team? No drama. We’ll match you up.
This weekend is the perfect warm-up for the real WA State Championships in Jurien Bay at the end of September.
Show the newbies and remind the oldies that WA is as alive as ever. Can’t make Mock Champs? No worries - get yourself registered for the Jurien Bay long weekend instead.
Skydiving is sick, but the community is what makes it unforgettable.
