NERD NEST FALL ISSUE MEETING:
Howell Branch Library

Friday, Oct 24th , 2025
Submission Collaboration: 12-1pm
Design Team: 1-2pm
What to expect:
Participants/journalists/artists will be welcomed to share their submissions during the first part of the meeting if they're comfortable doing so.
All submissions must be respectful of all people and ages.
Writing submission topics: Book/Movie/Game reviews, recipes, sports, creative writing, poetry, community spotlight, etc.
Preferred formats: MS Word, Google Doc, PDF, raw text, Markdown
Artwork submissions can be brought to the meeting to be digitized, or scanned and emailed prior.

Design Team:
We are looking for 4 dedicated creators 12yr+ that would like to join the design team. Design work will be done in the second half of the meeting using Canva, Gimp, or Adobe Photoshop.
Designers will need to have a device to work from, and an email address.
Interested designers will need to create a sample cover page and interior page layout and submit it to
