Colors of Autumn Guided Hike

Celebrate the beauty of autumn with a guided hike through the scenic Hartland Marsh Preserve and the Ice Age Trail’s John Muir Overlook loop with the Ice Age Trail Alliance and Waukesha County Land Conservancy. This two-mile route features a mowed path and boardwalk with minimal elevation gain - perfect for both seasoned hikers and casual nature walkers.

We’ll meet at the Cottonwood Wayside pergola, located off Cottonwood Avenue in Hartland, WI. As we explore the colorful fall landscape, you’ll learn about our ongoing conservation efforts and the unique ecological importance of the preserve. Along the way, we’ll highlight seasonal changes in local ecosystems, native wildlife, and the birds preparing for migration or winter.

So lace up your hiking shoes, bring a friend, and join us for a crisp and educational Saturday morning outdoors!
