Home fires claim seven lives every day, but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half. That’s why the American Red Cross is rallying volunteers to install free smoke alarms, as part of our nationwide Sound the Alarm events.
Join us for Sound the Alarm on Thursday September 11th, 2025 from 8 A.M.-2 P.M.. We will meet at the Parker Memorial Community Center, Hartford, CT.
Registration and team assignments begin at 8:00 A.M., followed by the opening kick off ceremony at 9 A.M. We will provide lunch and the day will be concluded by 2 P.M.
