This organization connects women survivors of sexual exploitation to safe housing, meaningful work and a healing network of support. They work for an end to human sex trafficking through service and advocacy.
As a board member of Franciscan Peacemakers, I can’t say enough about the beautiful people involved in this organization…the staff, fellow board members and volunteers are all deeply committed to serving humbly and wholeheartedly.
Franciscan Peacemakers holds a very special place in our hearts and has been a huge part of Faith & Giggles’ mission for over 12 years.
Deacon Steve, retired executive director, introduced us to the issue of human trafficking and their beautiful products. Because of our partnership and the mentorship of Deacon Steve, Jason and I were able to start our own nonprofit, Washington County Anti-Trafficking Advocates (10+ years ago), and currently educate throughout Southeast Wisconsin about what human trafficking looks like in our own neighborhoods, as well as how social media is being used to facilitate internet crimes and exploit vulnerable individuals.
