Make Your Own Glass Art Workshop

During the workshop we will be designing and making a fused glass art piece that can be either free- standing or hanging or even mounted into a frame. We will have plenty of time to play with colour and shape, creating lovely items that you will love and cherish. You will be introduced to the art of glass fusing and will learn about tack fusing and slumping. You will get to work with glass in a variety of forms, powders, frits, stringers, beads as well as sheet glass and glass paints. You will be able to choose from a range of designs. Those who already have knowledge of the basic skills will have the opportunity to improve their technique, increasing their confidence in designing their own work. Items will be fired after the course and either returned to Headstone Manor for collection or posted to recipients for a small extra cost.

Suzanne Raffellini is a full-time glass artist who sells her work through her website www.suzanneraffelliniglassartist.com and at craft fairs such as Waddesdon Christmas Market and Handmade in Chelsea. She takes on commission work such as the front entrance of St. Michael’s and All Angels Church in Amersham and other private residences. She also teaches regular weekly classes at Bellingdon Village Hall and one day workshops and fully immersive summer schools at her Chesham Studio.
