Harrisonburg Afghan’s Celebrate Independence Day!
With the help of elders and energetic youth, Afghan residents in Harrisonburg are excited to celebrate Afghanistan’s Independence Day with pride.
This day reminds us of the sacrifices and bravery of our heroes who fought for our country’s freedom. Even though the program was delayed before, now we come together to honor the memory of martyrs and freedom fighters.
Our goal is not just to celebrate, but also to strengthen friendship and unity among Afghans, and to create a joyful and cultural atmosphere.

• Food: Prepared with love by respected elders
• Music: Traditional Afghan music
• Exhibition: Afghan clothes by local merchants
