About the event

ART OPENING: "D.E.I.: Dizzy Ella, and Improvisation - Paintings of Black Jazz Masters

Harrisonburg designer, musician and painter, Robert Mott unveils an art show of 11 jazz master portraits in acrylic with mixed media at this October 3 show opening. Enjoy refreshments, music and discussion with the artist and gallery owner, Joanne Gabbin. Subjects include, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzegerald, Sony Rollins, Wes Montgomery, Thelonious Monk, Ron Carter, Art Blakey, J.J,. Johnson and others. The show continues at the Gallery every Friday night in October through the 24th from 5-7 p.m.
