Come and join us at Earth Wisdom Saturday, December 20th for an early Yule/Winter Solstice celebration. There will be Holiday treats, games, seasonal music, and a white elephant gift exchange.
For our white elephant gift exchange, I encourage you to look around for a fun or odd item you may have lying around your house or tucked away in a closet. Something that you would like to pass along. Or consider purchasing something from a thrift or secondhand shop. Please wrap your gift and it will be placed anonymously on a gift table to await our fun gift swap.
Also, please bring a plate of Holiday Cookies or Treats, enough to share with 20-24 guests. It will be fun for everyone to each take a sampler plate of treats home with them. Coffee, tea and holiday punch will be provided.
Traditions for the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere will be shared, and we will also play several fun Yule Party games, such as naming characters in Christmas movies. We will be randomly singing Christmas and Yule Carols while we exchange our gifts, play our games, enjoy holiday snacks and the company of good folks.
We will end our evening of fun by releasing sky lanterns for good intentions for the upcoming year. (weather permitting).
