Emma Big Bear Presentation by Terry Landsgaard
Join us at the Effigy Mounds National Monument Visitor Center March 5th at 10:00am as Father Terry Landsgaard, local historian and adjunct instructor at Upper Iowa University, will be here to give a presentation on Emma Big Bear of the Ho Chunk Nation and her basketry. Father Terry is a long-time researcher of Emma Big Bear, her family and her master craftmanship of black-ash basket making. He will bring examples of Emma Big Bear's baskets for participants to examine.
